Mystery sign of the day

I've seen a few of these around and still haven't figured out what they mean.  I found this one on the University of Luxembourg campus in Limpertsberg:

Walk close to others in your group?  Meeting point?  Anyone know?

  1. I think it means "Meeting Point." I'm sure I've seen signs like that in train stations/airports.

    But I'm just guessing.

  2. It's a meeting point when there is an emergency - assembly point if you like. It will be where the people in the nearest buildings have to gather if there's a fire or something like that. Another EU regulation (!)

  3. Oh and it has to be a certain distance from the building...that's regulated too.

  4. Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanations!
